DayRate Support
DayRate is a private, offline day-rate and overtime calculator for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Use it to calculate a workday, save reusable rate profiles, track multi-day jobs, add kit and expenses, and share a clear pay summary.
Getting Started
Open Calculator and choose a rate profile.
Enter your day rate and the hours and minutes worked.
Review the base pay, overtime, effective hourly rate, and total.
Select Save as Job to keep the day and add expenses or additional workdays.
The included 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour, and no-overtime profiles are convenient starting points. They are not statements about legally required overtime. Always enter the thresholds and multipliers that apply to your contract.
DayRate Pro
The free version includes the calculator, one saved rate profile, three saved jobs, and one overtime tier.
DayRate Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited rate profiles, unlimited jobs, and a second overtime tier across supported Apple devices associated with the same Apple Account.
To purchase or restore DayRate Pro, open Settings → DayRate Pro. If a previous purchase is not recognized, confirm that the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then select Restore Purchases.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DayRate require an account or internet connection?
No. DayRate requires no account, and its calculation and job-tracking features work offline. An internet connection may be required when purchasing or restoring DayRate Pro through Apple.
Where is my information stored?
Your rate profiles, jobs, expenses, and settings are stored locally on your device. DayRate does not operate an account service or developer database.
Does DayRate decide which overtime rules apply to me?
No. DayRate calculates from the terms you enter. It does not provide legal, tax, payroll, accounting, or employment advice.
How do I share a job summary?
Open a saved job and use the Share button. You choose the destination through Apple’s system share sheet.
